Saint Xavier University's Bachelor of Science in Biology is designed for students who want to prepare themselves for a career in science, medicine or research. This program provides a deep understanding of life on every scale. Throughout the program, biology student will engage in classroom and real-world applications, studying all different levels from the beginning stages of general biology to the genetic, cellular, system, organism, and the population/community levels. Students also select electives of their choice to explore or specialize their education in preparation for a diverse career path or advanced studies in science and health professions.

Saint Xavier alumni have been accepted to a large number of health profession programs, including the Midwestern University School of Osteopathic Medicine, Marquette School of Dentistry, The University of Illinois, Chicago Pharmacy Program, Saint Louis University School of Pharmacy, The University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and Purdue University Veterinary School and National Lewis College of Chiropractic.
